Fiber Therapy is in session

No prescription required! We just love crafting with yarn, string and fiber. We get together on a regular basis with our fellow fiber enthusiasts in a safe, comfortable public setting and knit, crochet, spin, weave, sew, etc.

We enjoy a good cup of coffee or tea (and maybe a dessert) at the coffee shop where we meet. It's fun to show off what we've been crafting on during the week. Participating in the group inspires us to learn new crafting techniques and pushes us to take on challenges that we might not have thought to try before. Just watching someone else knit socks, for instance, will give you the sock knitting bug, no doubt! Consider yourself warned.

Fiber Therapy groups are perfect for those who enjoy making friends, creating with their hands, learning new artistic techniques and sharing your love of fiber arts with others. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, there's something in it for you at any skill level.

No dues or fees for joining. Save your money for your next yarn store visit or snacks!

the Past & the future

Fiber Therapy began as a weekly meeting of the Burleson Area Fiber Artists in the Fall of 2006, in Burleson, Texas. Since then, we have provided free lessons and supplies to many students, young or old, both male and female. Our goal is to assist others in launching similar groups in their own communities around the world. Look for additional meeting dates and times on our schedule as more groups are formed.
